Dr. Monnie Carol Carter

D.V.M., M.S.

Dr. Monnie Carol Carter graduated from Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005 and joined her husband, Dr. Will Carter in mixed animal practice at Snowdoun Veterinary Hospital. She enjoys balancing an active family life and busy work schedule. She can often be seen blazing the highway with Sarah Beth, Merritt and any number of pets as they actively participate in many sports and extracurricular hobbies. Dr. Monnie Carol enjoys the relationships she has developed with her team, her patients, and her clients. She also enjoys internal medicine and teaching clients and children how to optimize animal health and comfort at all stages of life. Dr. Monnie Carol is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Alabama Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Association of Bovine Practitioners. She is also an active member of First United Methodist Church of Montgomery, where she has taught children's Sunday school for over ten years. Outside of work, Dr. Monnie Carol loves cooking, photography and spending time on the family cattle farm with Will, Sarah Beth, and Merritt.

D.V.M.

Dr. Will Carter graduated from Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing large and small animal medicine in the Montgomery area since 2003. In 2005, he purchased Snwodoun Veterinary Hospital, which was originally opened by Dr. Winston Pirtle in the 1970's. Dr. Carter and his wife Monnie Carol have two children, Sarah Beth and Merritt. The family has four dogs; Sage, Traveler, Cookie, and Trip, as well as one cat, Barney and a commercial beef cattle operation. Dr. Carter enjoys the challenges and the variety that mixed animal practice offers. He particularly enjoys small animal surgery and herd health medicine. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Alabama Veterinary Medical Association, the Society for Theriogenology. He is an active member of the Farmers' Federation Board and First United Methodist Church of Montgomery. Dr. Carter enjoys working on the family cattle farm and watching his children enjoy their many extracurricular activities.
